Katherine Heigl reveals that she grew up in a white bubble and how this realization affected how she raised adopted multiracial children. But after having a conversation with her adopted Korean American older sister, she realised the distinction in the way people were treated by her. Meg was asked if her treatment was different while they were together with their parents and then when they went alone. Meg responded "Oh yes! All the times!" It made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to her parents. According to the actress, she became furious. She wanted to channel her anger into helping her adopted girls. Heigl has a four year old son with her 13-year spouse, Josh Kelley. They have took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black, in 2009.
