I worked for months, working 12- hour days sanding floors and taking wallpaper down with one baby strapped to my back and the others playing in the playpen. Ha! The home was starting to look nice, but there was a lot that needed to be left. To complete this task I was ready to shell out a substantial amount of time and money searching for the perfect home. To stay in the realm of budgets, I took to by taking my sons to estate sales in search of diamonds. Our routine for the week was to spend Thursday-Saturday walking through garage sales to purchase a mix of old and new pieces and then I would spend the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. My passion for restoration of furniture started with an appearance like this. Although our house was fully decorated, I was unable to quit. At the local market I was able to rent a tiny area and then sold a few objects. I could outgrow the market because I had plenty of pieces that I could use. I held open houses in my home where one 000 visitors would pass through during a weekend. visitors could buy anything from the ground level. Growing Days was created in the home. While my company grew and so did our small family. Finding the balance was important for me. I wished to be a mom and a successful business owner. Growing Days just seemed to work. Nora came into our lives in 2013 to be our fourth baby. This was an excellent direction for my business however, I needed an escape. I decided to slow down and spend some time at home, spending time with my children. That was precisely what I needed. However, after just a couple of minutes, my phone began to ring. I started receiving messages from individuals asking for assistance with home improvements and design of interiors. These were mostly customers who visited my residence to buy furniture. As I went along, I added clients to my list one by one. It wasn't too long before I managed many clients and operated a profitable home improvement business. It would have probably laughed at me had you had said that this would become the basis of an DIY Network tv series. It's true that I smile when I think about it.
