April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born on July 4th April, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade she began to take piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her passion to write songs. In April, when she was 12 years old when she wrote her first single, Different. When April was 14 years old, she spent long hours developing song ideas and perfecting the music. Soon after she began taking excursions to write with her father in NY in New York and LA. April was the month that she began to write about other issues in Take My Hand for those of her peers who struggled in the face of peer pressure, disability or even suicide. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer, as well as being a partner with clean beauty brands Ilia she has gained a large following. The disability she has is part of her persona, however it is not the whole image. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't conceal her handicap, but it doesn't concentrate solely on it. The message? This is the message that we all share many identities, we're far more complicated than we believe we are. Lockhart speaks through video from Nashville. "I do not intend to let it define my life. I'm not looking to only be recognized as an expert in disabilities. It doesn't impact my daily life. I conduct the same way as I always do and have come up with my own ways to adapt. The same is true for my personality, and it should be discussed. Lockhart has served as an excellent inspiration to her fellow women regarding acceptance of oneself. She admits that she has gone through periods of feeling insecure about her body and feeling uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which exposed her arms. She wears whatever she wants and posts photos of herself wearing the clothes she picks out on social platforms. She says that self-love is a process. I'm not sure whether you'll get to the point of no return. But, this isn't typical for people with doubts. I think it's essential to surround yourself with those who can discern and understand your heart.
